Apple CEO Steve Jobs at D8: The Full, Uncut Interview - Peter Kafka - D8 - AllThingsD →
In my post-Jobs resignation web surfing, I stumbled across this interview with Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher of Steve Jobs at D8 from around this time last year. It is long, but incredibly compelling.
My favorite part is about 40 minutes in, when Steve talks about the transition of the PC from an ubiquitous consumer product to a niche product that will be used only by professionals (such as programmers, developers, etc).
Definitely not news, but fun to watch with a year of hindsight between then and now.

So I needed a drink fast, and I didn’t want to mess around. At hand was some gin, 3 oz of ginger ale, and my mint plant. Presto change-o, I give you my very own drink, The Merlin. All the notes of the gin are on full display, sweetened by the ginger ale, and made magical by the barest hint of mint from the garnish. I hope you like it.
“Ulysses”, Franz Ferdinand. From the album Tonight (2009).
Franz Ferdinand has always been an interesting band to me, displaying many influences - electronica, krautrock, reggae, and even disco, among many others.
All three albums the band has released so far have been solid and I look forward to their next offering, due out in 2011.
Ich heiße super fantastisch!
“Archangel Thunderbird”, Amon Duul II. From the 1970 Liberty release “Yeti”. Great track, from a great album.

A great way to hear new music - join a room, and you and the other users all take turns as a DJ playing songs. Indie One ‘N’ Done is a favorite room, but you can find a room to suit any musical genre (or start your own).

If you haven’t been watching Madmen, shame on you.
The Stooges Fun House. It’s a long one, but ultimately worth while. It’s a slow burn, best listened to as you speed down the highway after a late evening.
The very first comment on youtube says “I feel like this is what the devil listens to when he’s drinking” - I couldn’t have said it better.
Pulp Fiction/Banksy mash-up

The notorious(ly awesome) street artist Banksy’s take on one of my very favorite movies.
