“Ulysses”, Franz Ferdinand. From the album Tonight (2009).

Franz Ferdinand has always been an interesting band to me, displaying many influences - electronica, krautrock, reggae, and even disco, among many others.

All three albums the band has released so far have been solid and I look forward to their next offering, due out in 2011.

Ich heiße super fantastisch!

Turntable.fm: Play music together. →

A great way to hear new music - join a room, and you and the other users all take turns as a DJ playing songs. Indie One ‘N’ Done is a favorite room, but you can find a room to suit any musical genre (or start your own).

The Stooges Fun House.  It’s a long one, but ultimately worth while. It’s a slow burn, best listened to as you speed down the highway after a late evening.

The very first comment on youtube says “I feel like this is what the devil listens to when he’s drinking” - I couldn’t have said it better.

Remembering the 90’s: Snow - “Informer”

Do you remember watching MTV in the 90’s? I sure do. Do yourself a favor and take a walk down memory lane with me.

You might assume that Snow was a one-hit wonder, with maybe a single full album. Heck, I did. As it turns out, Snow released six(!) full length albums, the last in 2002.

BONUS: Check out Ini Kamoze’s “Here Comes the Hotstepper” for extra credit.

Oh the 90’s! What a weird era for music.
